The Client

With the highest concentration of licensed venues in London, Westminster Registration Service offers an array of places to say ‘I do’ in Westminster. From the iconic Old Marylebone Town Hall to Mayfair library, and many more stunning wedding venues, Westminster Registration Service we’re looking for an eco-friendly product, to offer a wow-factor, when celebrating their couples’ wedding day ceremony.

What they wanted

Westminster Registration Service contacted LSF Wholesale in 2021, looking for a wedding confetti product to add value to their couples big day, that was not only beautiful but also kind to the environment. They faced the challenge of couples and guests suppling their own confetti, which often consisted of paper and rice. Couples choosing to use rice for confetti resulted in the pigeons of London congregating on their historic steps. Most paper confetti isn’t biodegradable and stains and so creating manual labour for cleaning up after the big day.

What we did

The LSF Wholesale team solved the problem by introducing Westminster Registration Service to dried delphinium and wildflower petals, grown on the LSF Wholesale farm. All the petals are 100% biodegradable, natural and eco-friendly with no added dyes.

Sustainability and the environmental impact was a key focus on the project and so the confetti inside and the packaging needed to reflect this. As the petals were grown on the LSF Wholesale farm, it ensured there was a low carbon footprint, low resources used as the flowers were grown in a single summer season (unlike paper confetti milled from mature trees, grown over years), and the petals are handpicked and dried onsite to ensure the best quality on the market.

Once a decision was made regarding the confetti mix, the LSF Wholesale team worked with Westminster Registration Service to produce a desirable glassine sachet featuring their own branded sticker. This offered a single portion of confetti to wedding guests, involving the entire wedding party and creating the wow factor for couple’s wedding photos.

The white label confetti sachets were exactly the product they needed; hand filled to provide the perfect individual portion of confetti for their customers and 100% recyclable. The added benefit of the glassine sachets was the easy ability to display and store with a long shelf life.

The product LSF has created for Westminster Registration Service reassures them they are supplying their couples with the most environmentally conscious petal confetti, to create incredible confetti photos that don’t cost the earth. Due to their naturally biodegradable properties, no one needs to clean up after the couple’s big celebration and the packaging can easily be recycled too.
